Centerpoint Ambulatory Surgery Center, located in Independence, Missouri, serves residents of Jackson County and surrounding communities. Performing an average of 600 cases a month, our center utilizes the latest technology in women's health, breast cancer treatment, and same-day total joint replacement surgeries. About the Role
As an Endoscopy Nurse, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn. Whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives, you will help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing.
In this role, you will contribute to the company's mission by utilizing the nursing process to plan, execute, and evaluate care for surgical and GI patients during the intra-operative period. You will ensure safe, effective nursing care until the patient is transferred to recovery. Your day-to-day responsibilities include demonstrating knowledge of surgical and GI procedures, overseeing instrument and equipment setup, and coordinating the room as the circulator. You will also facilitate efficient transitions between procedures and manage preference cards to ensure accuracy.

Requirements
- verifiedNursing Diploma
- verifiedMinimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting
- verifiedRN license required or appropriate compact licensure
- verifiedValid BCLS Certification upon employment
- verifiedACLS as required by facility
- verifiedCNOR / SGNA certification preferred
Nice to Have
Experience in an ambulatory surgery center. CNOR certification. SGNA certification.
