With a workforce of over 100 dedicated professionals spanning communities from Alaska's Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta to the Interior, LifeMed Alaska provides the state's premier air medical crews. Our mission is to support critical care patients during transports from rural Alaska to tertiary care centers across the state, major cities in the Lower 48, and internationally.
We recently earned a renewal of our CAMTS certification, reinforcing our commitment to excellence. Our culture is built on a foundation of listening for understanding, having fun in our work, and ensuring every team member sees how their strengths contribute to the organization's success.
LifeMed Alaska's Flight Nurses are responsible for planning, providing, evaluating, and documenting direct patient care, including for those with complex needs outside the hospital setting. You will partner with talented Flight Paramedics to care for patients with a full range of critical conditions in fixed-wing aircraft, ground ambulances, and hospital settings.
Your transport may take the crew to remote villages, larger cities, and hospitals within Alaska, or facilities in the Lower 48. In these high-stakes environments, you will serve as a calming presence for patients and their loved ones who are facing new and frightening situations, while delivering the high-quality healthcare LifeMed is known for.
Beyond clinical duties, Flight Nurses have the opportunity to contribute to company objectives by participating in committees, sharing ideas to improve quality of care and efficiency, and working shifts at our various Alaska bases. You will influence processes, internal communication systems, and other aspects of the business as we set the stage for continued success.
This position has a start date of June 29, 2026. LifeMed Alaska actively recruits candidates who are residents in the communities we serve. Relocation assistance or a sign-on bonus is offered to qualified candidates who intend to move to Alaska for employment. Please note that commuting from the Lower 48 for work is not permitted; employees must be residents of the State of Alaska.
LifeMed Alaska is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We strive to create an environment where every member of the team is valued.
