As an experienced Fleet Mechanic, you will work with a high degree of independence while performing preventative maintenance (PM) and repairs. You will utilize leading-edge technology, including voice applications for PMs, Noregon diagnostics, and Uptake predictive analytics, to diagnose failures across a diverse fleet of automobiles, light and heavy trucks, vans, and forklifts.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include performing advanced diagnostics on all OE platforms (Volvo, International, Freightliner, Maxon, electric vehicles, and material handling equipment) and executing high-level repairs on engines, drivelines, after-treatment systems, emissions, and safety systems. You will also adapt and build repair capabilities for alternative fuel applications such as electric vehicles, CNG, and B100. In this fast-paced environment, you will maintain documentation, answer service calls, and support Pepsi's strong safety culture by adhering to all safety standards and procedures.

Experience removing and replacing mounted wheels to torque specs; Experience utilizing diagnostic troubleshooting codes; Experience with parts management and inventory controls; Experience working under limited supervision; Experience using shop tools (engine hoists, welding, changing tires, small tools); Experience with preventative maintenance programs and activities; Experience working with computers (e.g., i-pad, desktop computers, hand-held computers, laptop computers, performing diagnostics); Experience repairing forklifts (e.g., repairing propane fuel / electrical / battery systems, hydraulic systems, pallet jacks, etc.); Experience working with manufacturing standard manuals; Experience repairing heavy duty equipment (e.g., working on class 8, 7, 6 and medium duty trucks, brakes, tires, engines, liftgates, thermo king heater and refer units, etc.); Experience or training involving gas and/or diesel automotive repair; Experience performing engine repairs (e.g. class 6 - 8 diesel); Experience performing safety systems repairs; Brakes Certification; ASE Electrical Certification; ASE Heavy Duty Certification; ASE Suspension Certification; ASE, Macs or Military AC certification; Experience driving trucks requiring a Class A or B CDL; Experience repairing light trucks (e.g., EV trucks, gas-diesel trucks, vans, support vehicles, etc.); Experience with shift work (being on-call, 24/7 availability, 2nd/3rd shift work, flexible work weeks); Hotwork/Welding Certification; Welding experience.
