The Fleet & Warehouse Manager is a pivotal role designed to ensure the seamless coordination of warehouse operations and fleet logistics. This position serves as the operational backbone for field teams, prioritizing safety, efficiency, and collaboration to support business continuity. The role exists to bridge the gap between inventory management, vehicle maintenance, and on-site execution, ensuring that materials and equipment are always available when and where they are needed.
In this capacity, you will work closely with supervisors, the Senior Fleet Manager, and local Superintendents to drive operational excellence. Your day-to-day involves a dynamic mix of office-based planning and hands-on management within the warehouse and yard. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels, optimizing space utilization, and ensuring the fleet remains compliant and efficient. Beyond administrative oversight, this role requires active participation in the physical environment, including operating machinery, conducting safety inspections, and managing the disposal of obsolete inventory.
This position demands adaptability to a challenging physical environment. You will split your time between office tasks and active engagement in the warehouse and yard, often navigating various weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain. The role involves heavy physical effort, including lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 pounds, and operating forklifts and other machinery. Safety is paramount; you will frequently work with potentially dangerous materials and situations, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Candidates for this role must be eligible to work in the U.S. and possess a valid driver's license. The hiring process includes mandatory pre-employment screenings, specifically a criminal background check and a Drug and Alcohol Test. Successful applicants must also hold relevant certifications and trainings pertinent to the duties of the role.
