As a wholly owned credit union service organization (CUSO) of Michigan State University Federal Credit Union, we are driven by a shared goal of building better – everything – for members. We invest in strategic partners to bring new technologies, digital resources, and industry solutions to market.
The Financial Content Strategist is the voice behind our educational mission, creating high-quality, compliant, and engaging content that empowers people to better understand financial products and make informed decisions. This role exists to bridge the gap between complex financial concepts and the everyday needs of our members.
You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, Financial Education, Product, Marketing, and Client Success teams to produce clear, accurate content for web pages, guides, tools, and campaigns. Your day-to-day involves strategically curating ideas and researching topics to craft educational articles on mortgages, loans, savings, and budgeting. Beyond long-form articles, you will shape digital content for social channels, FAQs, glossaries, interactive frameworks, short-form videos, and newsletters. Whether you are translating complex data into reader-friendly language or ensuring regulatory alignment, your work ensures our brand tone remains consistent while making finance accessible to diverse audiences.
Candidates selected for this role will be invited to participate in a remote interview process. This typically includes an initial screening to discuss background and role fit, followed by a deeper dive into writing samples and strategic thinking. Final rounds may involve a conversation with the hiring team to assess cultural alignment and specific expertise in financial education.
This is a fully remote position based within the State of Michigan. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required for after-hours work as needed. Please note that employment offers are contingent upon the agreed work arrangement and location; MSU Federal Credit Union may not be able to accommodate changes to work arrangements or allow employment outside the city and/or state of residency at the time of the offer.
