The Financial Clearance Call Center Representative (FCCCR) serves as a critical bridge between patients and the healthcare system, managing exception-based pre-registration and registration activities across inpatient admissions, outpatient visits, emergency departments, and clinics. This role exists to ensure financial clarity and operational efficiency before a patient arrives, resolving missing registration items, authorization form recoveries, and coverage or guarantor issues through work queues, internal messages, and direct communication.
In this position, you will receive call transfers from Appointment Schedulers and assist patients with financial inquiries, including charge estimates, preservice payments (co-pays, co-insurance, deposits), and insurance coverage details. You will also proactively place outbound calls to patients, providers, and insurance companies to resolve financial questions prior to or following appointments. Success in this role requires adherence to quality assurance guidelines and productivity standards while navigating a complex, patient-centered environment with a high degree of self-motivation and attention to detail.
