About the Role
This position serves as a vital link in the revenue cycle for BMG Clinic and the BMG Foundation. The primary mission is to ensure the timely completion of claims edits, denials, and no-response billing functions. By managing both paper and electronic claims alongside client invoice billing, the role guarantees that internal and external inquiries are resolved efficiently.
You will be the face of the billing department, handling telephone communications with patients, insurance companies, and internal personnel. Your day involves navigating complex work queues to process insurance denials, monitor claim statuses, and review credit balances. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of payer guidelines and established workflows to effectively bill, collect, and submit all insurance and TPA claims.

Requirements
- verifiedHigh School Diploma or GED
- verifiedExperience in healthcare setting or educational coursework
- verifiedBasic computer and keyboarding skills
Nice to Have
One or more years of government and/or commercial billing and collections in a physician or hospital setting. Certification in medical billing or coursework. Associates degree in Business, Finance, or related field. MS Office and advanced phone system experience. Knowledge of insurance billing and collections guidelines, including payer systems such as FFS. Experience with Epic. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Effective customer service skills.
