About the Role

The Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) Finance Product Control Vice President serves as a central subject matter expert within the accounting function. In this role, you will manage and monitor large-scale projects and accounting processes, providing critical guidance and interpretation to leaders and business lines. You will act as a primary resource for specific accounting initiatives, ensuring that new products, systems, and best practices are effectively researched and proposed to senior leadership.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with all lines of business to facilitate the timely implementation and standardization of new accounting requirements. By directing and guiding accounting teams, reviewing financial information, and analyzing departmental work, you will help develop more efficient procedures while maintaining high levels of accuracy. Additionally, you will represent the organization as a key stakeholder, advising senior management on best practices and coaching junior professionals to support overall department goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circleProvide subject matter expertise and guidance on accounting policies to leaders and business lines
  • check_circleDirect accounting teams by reviewing financial information, reporting, and disclosures
  • check_circleEnsure compliance with regulatory standards and internal risk controls within the department
  • check_circleResearch and analyze new products and best practices to propose findings to the CFO Director
  • check_circleDevelop efficient procedures and optimize resource use while maintaining high accuracy
  • check_circleAdvise senior management on best practices to meet defined goals and objectives
  • check_circleManage projects and initiatives as requested by senior leadership
  • check_circleEstablish and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • check_circleOversee the end-to-end flow of banking transactions and client onboarding processes

Requirements

  • verifiedBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent field
  • verified3+ years experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or similar field within Banking or Financial Services Industry
  • verifiedAdvanced accounting practices including US GAAP/IFRS and regulatory reporting standards
  • verifiedCPA certification (Desirable)
  • verifiedExperience in Microsoft Office products
  • verifiedExperience with CRM or project management tools

Nice to Have

Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent field. CPA certification. Experience in Corporate and Investment banking, Operations, or Product Control within financial services. Experience in Microsoft Office products. Proficiency in data analysis and experience with CRM or project management tools.
