The Field Service Instrument Technician is the frontline of technical expertise, responsible for delivering exceptional service to support process instrumentation products. This role is critical for ensuring customer satisfaction by configuring, calibrating, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairing process instruments and systems. Beyond technical execution, the position fosters strong, solutions-oriented relationships with plant personnel and customers, acting as a trusted advisor for equipment operation and maintenance.
The day-to-day involves traveling to customer sites to perform on-demand, outage, and contract field services. You will work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and clean rooms, often requiring flexibility for off-hours, weekends, and overtime. Approximately 50% of the role involves overnight travel within the SC/NC/VA territory. Success in this position requires a collaborative approach, balancing technical problem-solving with the ability to communicate complex technical needs and opportunities to both internal teams and customers.
