Based in Davenport, IA, the Field Service Foreperson serves as the direct supervisor for Field Technicians, leading the execution of critical emergency response and environmental remediation projects. This role exists to ensure that complex tasks—ranging from emergency spill cleanup and hazardous waste removal to site remediation and equipment decontamination—are performed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and H&S standards.
As a Foreperson, you will lead by example in a physically demanding environment. Your day involves managing large-scale field service projects, mentoring technicians, and ensuring all operations stay within budget and on schedule. You will navigate diverse conditions, working indoors and outdoors in all weather, often in confined spaces, at elevations, or in atmospheres with potential chemical exposure. The role requires active leadership in communication with coordinators regarding manpower and resources, as well as the safe operation of light and heavy equipment.
New hires for this position are required to attend a comprehensive two-week Academy training program located out of state. This paid training covers essential safety protocols and operational procedures, with all expenses covered by the company. Candidates must be available for on-call responsibilities and emergency response projects that may require travel out of town for up to two weeks at a time, with hotel and per diem provided. The role operates on an 8-10+ hour day schedule with overtime available after 40 hours. Previous heavy equipment experience (bobcats, excavators, etc). Previous environmental and/or industrial experience (site remediation, spill response, hydro blasting, vacuum truck, tank cleaning, refinery-based work). Commercial driver license.
