Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide regular supervision, oversight, auditing, and monitoring of field-based Technical Specialists
- check_circleLead technical support for sales and business development teams on regional bids and tenders
- check_circleExecute internal and external quality investigations and provide corrective action training
- check_circleEngage with regional clients to promote Intertek capabilities and provide technical support
- check_circleLead the rollout and implementation of new strategic initiatives such as eReporting
- check_circleComplete billable work for clients as required
- check_circleOversee Technical Specialists during pre-inspection meetings, inspections, and critical testing
- check_circleConduct technical interviews with potential candidates to assess skills and knowledge
- check_circleMentor less senior technical staff and identify competency gaps among specialists
Requirements
- verifiedAdvanced knowledge and experience with vendor surveillance / shop inspection
- verifiedSuperior knowledge of oil and gas equipment
- verifiedClear understanding of basic procurement and fabrication processes
- verifiedKnowledge of relevant codes and specifications for the oil and gas industry
- verifiedAbility to make technical decisions and engineering judgments independently
- verifiedProficient in MS Office programs, Outlook
- verifiedBachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience
- verified10+ years direct field-based quality experience
- verifiedRecognized professional certifications (AWS/CWI, ASNT, API, ASME, NACE, etc.)
- verifiedAbility to travel frequently throughout the continental US (up to 80% of the time)
Nice to Have
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience. 10+ years of direct field-based quality experience, preferably providing shop inspection services to the oil and gas industry. Recognized professional certifications relevant to the business (AWS/CWI, ASNT, API, ASME, NACE, etc.).
