The Cornell University Hospital for Animals (CUHA) is a world-class veterinary teaching hospital located in Ithaca, NY, within the scenic Finger Lakes region. As a global leader in discovery, education, and public service, the College of Veterinary Medicine is internationally recognized for excellence in clinical care, research, and education. CUHA provides advanced specialty and emergency care while serving as a premier teaching hospital for future veterinarians.
The Equine and Nemo Farm Animal Hospital (ENFAH) offers a unique environment where clinical excellence, instruction, and collaboration converge. This role is integral to the Department of Clinical Sciences, working closely with faculty to support both ENFAH patients and Cornell-owned horses.
The Farrier serves as the lead instructor for the Farrier Certificate Program, a 16-week intensive course offered three times annually, as well as the one-week Advanced Farrier Training program. This is a dynamic role that requires adapting to an evolving academic and clinical structure. The Farrier will collaborate directly with veterinarians and veterinary clinics to deliver therapeutic farriery, ensuring the highest standard of care for equine patients while shaping the next generation of farriers.
