About the Role
Memorial Health University Medical Center, a 711-bed regional referral center and Level I trauma center, is partnering with Coastal Community Health to welcome a Family Medicine Core Faculty member to its team. This position focuses on Family Medicine without Obstetrics, offering a unique opportunity to combine clinical practice with academic responsibilities.
The role is designed for a physician willing to balance administrative and clinical duties while actively participating in scholarly activities. These activities may include peer-reviewed funding, publishing original research or review articles, contributing textbook chapters, presenting case reports at scientific society meetings, or serving on national committees and educational organizations.
About the Team and Location
As the Savannah campus of Mercer University School of Medicine, the center is dedicated to graduate medical education, training residents in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, and various fellowships. The facility serves 35 counties across southeast Georgia and southern South Carolina, featuring a Children's hospital, a Level III NICU, and an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI capabilities.
This position is located in Savannah, a charming Southern escape known for its rich history, incredible architecture, and trendy boutiques. Set under a veil of Spanish moss along the coastal empire, the city offers a varied landscape of beaches, rivers, and marshes, alongside a cuisine that comes straight from the coast.
