The Department of Pediatrics and The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the University of Minnesota is a thriving academic practice. Our program covers the full spectrum of care in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition. The Division plays a leading and integral role in hepatology and liver transplantation, hosting one of the longest-standing pediatric liver transplant programs in the United States. We are home to a nationally recognized program in pediatric pancreatology and total pancreatectomy, including pancreatic islet autotransplantation.
Our division maintains the highest ambitions for excellence in patient services, teaching, and research. We participate in ongoing clinical research projects covering gastrointestinal diseases in cystic fibrosis, chronic pancreatitis, inflammatory bowel disease, nutrition, and autoimmune hepatitis. Additionally, we are part of the Rare Disease program at the University of Minnesota, recently recognized as a Center of Excellence by the National Organization of Rare Diseases.

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible pediatric hepatologist to join nine other full-time faculty and three nurse practitioners. The successful candidate will join a team that cares for patients with diverse and fascinating problems. In addition to providing excellent patient care, you will participate in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, engage in research projects tailored to your career interests, and contribute to service activities on behalf of the department and the profession.
Providers practice at affiliated locations under the M Health Fairview shared care delivery system. This partnership represents a collaboration between University of Minnesota Physicians, University of Minnesota Medical Center, and Fairview Health Services to build a nationally known academic health system that combines academic and community resources to provide the very best clinical care to patients and communities.
