The Facility and Event Sales Manager serves as the operational leader for NOVA Parks' event rental facilities, working under the general direction of the Park Operations Superintendent. This role is designed to bridge the gap between park operations and community engagement, ensuring that our facilities are not only well-maintained but also actively marketed to local commerce and visitor associations. The position offers considerable latitude for independent judgment, requiring a professional who can balance strategic sales growth with the day-to-day realities of facility management.
In this capacity, you will act as the primary liaison between rental clients and NOVA Parks. Your day will involve a dynamic mix of activities, from developing marketing programs to increase bookings and revenue to personally conducting tours and presentations for prospective clients. You will oversee the entire lifecycle of an event, coordinating with in-house site and catering staff, managing reservation systems, and ensuring facilities are ready and clean for every occasion. Additionally, you will manage personnel, handling everything from scheduling and training to performance evaluations and conflict resolution, all while maintaining a strong relationship with partners like Nature Forward.
Candidates for this safety-sensitive position must submit to a pre-employment drug screening as a condition of employment. The selection process will evaluate your ability to manage complex operational plans and your fit within the NOVA Parks team culture.

It is the policy of the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority to prohibit discrimination on the basis of race, sex, color, national origin, religion, age, veteran status, political affiliation, genetics, or disability in the recruitment, selection, and hiring of its workforce. NOVA Parks is a recreational facilities organization headquartered in Fairfax Station, Virginia, dedicated to preserving and managing regional parks across Northern Virginia. Established in 1959 as the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority, the entity was formed by local jurisdictions and citizens to protect the area's natural heritage from suburban expansion. Operating under the Virginia Park Authorities Act, the organization plans, acquires, develops, and operates a system of parks for public enjoyment.
The organization currently serves three counties and three cities: Arlington, Fairfax, and Loudoun counties, along with the cities of Alexandria, Falls Church, and Fairfax. Through the collaborative efforts of staff and volunteer board members appointed from each jurisdiction, NOVA Parks has preserved more than 12,000 acres of rolling, wooded countryside. This conservation work provides a legacy of natural space for over two million residents in the region.
The agency offers a diverse range of recreational amenities including nature trails, golf courses, boating opportunities, and wavepools. Funding for these facilities is generated through pooled contributions from member local governments, which are often supplemented by state and federal grants as well as private donations. This financial structure allows the regional park system to deliver extensive outdoor experiences to the community.
