This position serves as a vital support pillar for the Hospitality and Tourism Pathway at Cherry Creek Schools. Working under the supervision of the Pathway Lead, you will partner with instructors to bring culinary education to life. Your role is designed to bridge the gap between classroom theory and real-world application, ensuring students gain hands-on experience in a professional-grade kitchen environment.
You will be the operational heartbeat of the CTE café and lab, managing the daily rhythm of the program. From coordinating grocery procurement and developing menus to overseeing safety protocols and managing the physical space, your work ensures that every class runs smoothly. You will also play a key role in recruitment and marketing, helping to grow the pathway while supporting students with diverse learning needs, including those with IEPs and 504 plans.
The role takes place in a dynamic, active kitchen learning lab. You will spend significant time standing, walking, and utilizing various kitchen equipment, often in environments ranging from standard temperatures to coolers and freezers. The atmosphere is collaborative and fast-paced, requiring the ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to the immediate needs of students and staff.
Candidates must meet all required certifications, including a valid Colorado driver's license, CPR and First Aid certification, and ServSafe Manager or Instructor/Proctor certification.
