We are seeking a Facilities Services Supervisor to lead the maintenance and operations of critical, complex research buildings, including the Walton Center for Planetary Health and ISTB2. This is a hands-on supervisory position that requires you to work independently and as part of a team to plan, coordinate, and supervise highly skilled maintenance and operations staff.
In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison with students, faculty, and staff, coordinating maintenance activities and resolving complex or sensitive issues. You will oversee daily operations, manage energy efficiency programs to support Climate Neutrality and Sustainability goals, and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations. The position demands a blend of strategic oversight and field expertise, requiring you to assist team members with repairs, inspect outside contractors, and utilize data from work order systems to drive productivity and safety.

Evidence of 3 years' work experience in a supervisory capacity. Certification in electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, energy management systems, or plumbing. Experience in operations and maintenance of a critical complex research facility. Experience with Work Order Systems (e.g., TMA) and Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Experience in cleanroom operation and maintenance and certification. Experience with specialty exhaust systems (perchloric, radioisotope, corrosive exhaust), energy recovery systems, processed chilled water systems, data center operation, and specialty air systems (HVAC, compressed air, driers, vacuum). Experience providing administrative support to high-level executives and working with 3rd party facility management groups. Knowledge of MS Office (Access, Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience composing professional correspondence, presentations, manuals, reports, and scheduling multiple calendars. Experience coordinating events. Excellent customer service. Experience working in a professional environment. Experience working around chemicals in laboratories or mechanical areas. Knowledge of operation and repair of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems (hands-on). Knowledge and experience in Research buildings. Demonstrated knowledge of preventative maintenance programs, LEAN methodology, mission critical procedures, reliability programs and policies, and supervisory practices and principles.
