About the Role
Under general supervision, this position serves as the operational backbone of the Facilities and Maintenance Department. The role is dedicated to managing and supervising a comprehensive range of building maintenance, repair, inspection, construction, alteration, and janitorial services. The incumbent ensures that all facility operations align with the strategic aims and objectives of Carson Nugget, providing a safe, clean, and functional environment for staff and guests alike.
Day-to-Day Impact
The core of this position involves designing, managing, and coordinating facility maintenance and improvement programs. You will develop service goals, assign projects, and review work methods to ensure consistent operations. A significant portion of the day is spent preparing and implementing work plans that respond to ongoing maintenance needs, as well as reviewing capital improvement projects to recommend priorities.
Financial stewardship is also a key component; you will develop and administer the department's budget, forecasting funds for staffing, equipment, and materials while monitoring expenditures to ensure efficiency. Additionally, you will facilitate compliance with developmental activities by resolving conflicts and coordinating construction or improvement activities with staff, regulatory bodies, and other agencies.
Beyond facility management, this role bridges the gap between operations and guest experience. You will respond to guest questions regarding casino gaming promotions, special events, and programs, utilizing the Quick Reference Guide to assist visitors and encourage participation in marketing campaigns. Public inquiries will also be handled in a courteous manner to provide accurate information within your area of assignment.
