This position serves as a skilled maintenance professional responsible for the repair and upkeep of complex mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and physical structures within the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso (TTUHSC) facilities. The role is critical to ensuring the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of building systems that support patient care and institutional operations.
You will work collaboratively with other trades and maintenance staff to execute maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting tasks. A key aspect of this role involves monitoring and optimizing building energy management systems, water treatment programs, and fire alarm systems. You will be expected to respond promptly to work-related calls, including temperature or odor complaints, and manage life safety alarms in accordance with established procedures.
The position requires active participation in a 24/7 on-call capacity, including coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays. You will serve as a leader in promoting the institution's core values of Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork, ensuring that all actions align with Texas Tech Health El Paso's mission.
In accordance with Texas Executive Order GA-48 and applicable state or federal laws, this position may involve access to critical infrastructure.
