The Facilities Engineer/Specialist II serves as a dedicated Area Engineer for a specific plant area, bridging the gap between engineering design and operational execution. This role is critical for ensuring that all discipline engineering work—whether performed internally or by contractors—adheres to company specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
You will act as a facilitator within a collaborative team of Facilities engineers, Site Contacts, and Lead Engineers. Your day-to-day involves conducting monthly surveillance of area-driven KPIs, providing engineering support for changes and repairs to plant pressure equipment (including piping, static, and rotating equipment), and managing shutdown engineering support. The position requires a unique blend of technical expertise in Uncon design and strong interpersonal skills to ensure accurate communication across functions.
This is a Midland, TX-based onsite role operating on a 5/2 schedule (Monday–Friday, 40 hours). While based in Midland, the position includes mandatory field visits to Carlsbad, NM, approximately two days every two weeks for data collection and field walks with operations and construction teams. Candidates currently located in Carlsbad are also considered.
This is a 6-month contract position with a potential for extension. The target start date is June 26, with a submittal deadline of May 29, 2026. The role is classified as Safety Sensitive.
