This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII's Mission Technologies division. Our team of more than 7,000 professionals worldwide delivers all-domain expertise and advanced technologies in service of mission partners across the globe. Mission Technologies is leading the next evolution of national defense—the data evolution—by accelerating a breadth of national security solutions for government and commercial customers.
HII works within the nation's intelligence and cyber operations communities to defend our interests in cyberspace and anticipate emerging threats. Our capabilities in cybersecurity, network architecture, reverse engineering, and software and hardware development uniquely enable us to support sensitive missions for the U.S. military and federal agency partners.
As a Financial Analyst, you will partner with the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) to provide senior leadership with timely financial and operational analysis that facilitates sound business decisions. Your work will focus on the strategic plan, budgeting, monthly forecasting, and consolidated financial reporting.
The F-35 JPO requires a disciplined, repeatable business case analysis approach to identify and evaluate the benefits and trade-offs associated with affordability opportunities. In this role, you will conduct and document financial analysis projects, data gathering, manipulation, and summarization to support the Affordability Directorate. Your insights will be critical to developing executable business cases for the F-35 fleet that dramatically reduce the Cost Per Tail Per Year (CPTPY), Unit Recurring Flyaway (URF) cost, and development-related costs. These specialized services will drive the success of the JPO's Affordability Strategy for the next five years and beyond, delivering meaningful, tangible projects the program can plan investments and returns against.
