Founded in 1876, The Boys' Club of New York (BCNY) is a youth development organization with the mission to empower boys and young men, ages 7 to 21, by providing effective programs and a supportive community. BCNY provides evidence-based programs to address the evolving social, emotional, health, creative, educational, and vocational needs of our members in meaningful, lasting ways. We strive to continually deepen and broaden our impact by cultivating positive qualities in our members.
As an Explorer Group Leader, you will be the frontline guardian of our members' safety and engagement. This role is dedicated to the direct guidance, supervision, and care of boys ages 7 to 11. You will build rapport with members through positive interactions, ensuring an environment that is both safe and intellectually stimulating. Beyond direct supervision, you will play a key role in managing program assistants and volunteers, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere that supports the daily rhythm of our programs.
BCNY is a proactive organization dedicated to maintaining a safe environment for both our members and staff. While frontline employees are not required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, we strongly encourage all employees to be vaccinated and to obtain a booster shot to ensure the well-being of our community.
