The Career and Professional Development team serves as a vital bridge between the university and the professional community. Our mission is to prepare students for meaningful careers by fostering robust connections with employers, managing comprehensive internship programs, and ensuring data-driven insights guide our strategic planning.
As a Coordinator, you will be a collaborative partner dedicated to expanding the university's network of businesses, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations. This role is central to the student experience, focusing on the coordination of employer engagement efforts and the management of the university-wide internship ecosystem, including the Community Works initiative.
Your day-to-day work involves facilitating the Interdisciplinary Internship Preparation Course to equip students with essential professional skills, while also managing the logistics and training for the Handshake platform. You will play a key role in the inaugural administration of the First Destination Survey, using career outcomes data to support institutional accreditation and strategic growth. Additionally, you will support the expansion of the Student Assistance Program and manage the V-Top Career Mentor training for faculty and staff.
Candidates selected for an interview will be invited to discuss their experience in career services and experiential learning. The process typically includes a conversation with the hiring team to assess alignment with our mission and a review of relevant project work or case studies.
We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive community. The university considers qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status.
