The Oklahoma Children's Hospital Cardiac Operating Room is a tight-knit, highly specialized unit serving as the only congenital cardiac surgery provider in the state of Oklahoma. Our team of 7 Registered Nurses and 2 Scrub Nurses operates within a high-volume center known for nationally ranked outcomes. Under the leadership of Dr. Harold Burkhart, we perform life-saving cardiac surgeries for patients ranging from a few hours old to adult congenital patients.
Our facility features two dedicated cardiac operating rooms and a state-of-the-art Hybrid Cath Lab. We also manage a 25-bed cardiac ICU capable of transforming into satellite, mini-operating rooms. In early 2024, our cardiac VAD and transplant program received UNOS approval, catapulting us into a new realm of care. We prioritize work-life balance and pride ourselves on being a family-oriented, dedicated, and hard-working team.
As an Experienced Registered Nurse (RN) in the Pediatric Cardiac OR, you will join a unit that performs countless operations improving the lives of patients across Oklahoma and surrounding states. This role is available at levels I, II, or III, depending on your experience and education. You will work alongside expert surgeons and nursing staff to deliver the highest quality of care in a setting that values the OU Health Way: putting patients first, pursuing relentless excellence, showing integrity, seeking inclusion, always learning, and valuing teamwork.
