System Transport has been hauling what builds America since 1972. We combine the resources of a large company with the feel of a small one, keeping the country running with drivers behind the wheel. Our mission is to transport important goods and materials—including glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals—while maintaining a culture of "America Proud, Flatbed Strong."
As a Flatbed CDL Driver, you will operate in the western region of America across regional, local, dedicated, and over-the-road (OTR) routes. You will drive a fleet of modern flatbed trucks equipped with cutting-edge safety technologies, such as lane departure and forward collision warning systems, hard brake monitoring, and satellite communication devices. Every tractor is meticulously maintained to ensure it is 100% ready for the road before you drive it.
This role involves tarping approximately 70% of loads, which requires the physical ability to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice. Drivers have access to an award-winning driver portal app for real-time updates, pay access, and trip data, supported by 24/7/365 road service staff and shops.
To join our team, candidates must complete a short-form application that takes approximately two minutes. We encourage you to call our recruiters at 1-866-725-5083 to discuss route options and the transition package, which includes $1,000 allocated for orientation during your first two weeks. A background check, clean drug test, and clearinghouse result are required. Additionally, all flatbed candidates must pass a physical test during orientation to demonstrate the ability to handle tarping duties.
We are committed to fair pay and equal opportunity for all employees. Your safety is paramount to us, and we provide a supportive environment with a dedicated team ready to assist you. While we do not allow pets, we do permit riders aged 7 and up after 90 days of safe driving. We invite you to become part of a team that values your contribution to the nation's infrastructure.
