Key Responsibilities
- check_circleOperate and clean all food preparation equipment including grills, ovens, and mixers
- check_circleTaste food and apply appropriate garnishes before serving to residents and guests
- check_circleManage and mentor kitchen staff under the Executive Chef's supervision
- check_circlePrepare and cook food using various methods including baking, broiling, and steaming
- check_circleEnsure meals meet high quality standards and accommodate specific dietary needs
- check_circleOversee food preparation tasks such as washing, trimming, cutting, and portioning
- check_circleCreate and execute menus in the absence of the Executive Chef
- check_circleOrder food supplies and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements
- verified3-5 years related work experience including kitchen supervisory experience in hotel or restaurant
- verifiedScratch cooking experience
- verifiedFine dining and/or Country Club cooking experience
- verifiedAssociates degree in culinary arts or formal culinary education (preferred)
- verifiedEquivalent combination of training and experience
Nice to Have
5+ years of related work experience including kitchen supervisory experience in a hotel or restaurant environment. Experience with dietary restrictions and modified diets. Associates degree in culinary arts or other formal culinary education and/or advanced training.
