The Executive Sous Chef serves as a pivotal leader within our culinary operations, coordinating and ensuring the efficiency of all kitchen activities. This role is designed to support the Executive Chef in maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and service across our locations, including Pond Ridge and IL at Ashlar Village.
In this position, you will act as the primary mentor for production chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a culture of development and excellence. You will step in to lead the department in the Executive Chef's absence, managing menus, inventory, payroll, and scheduling while ensuring the department stays within fiscal budgets. Your day-to-day involves a blend of hands-on culinary work—preparing dishes, cooking, and carving meats—and strategic oversight of staff performance, training, and sanitation compliance.
