The Executive Director of Facilities Services Business Operations serves as the strategic leader for the Facilities Services division, overseeing a complex ecosystem that includes business planning, fiscal management, and operational execution. This role is pivotal in driving the financial and strategic direction of Energy Services, a receipt-supported enterprise with a yearly operating budget of $220 million.
In this capacity, you will partner with the Energy Services Business team to manage yearly utilities forecasting, rate setting, and monthly utility billings. You will also lead the strategic and capital planning for a $500 million program dedicated to new facilities and infrastructure. The position acts as the primary liaison for major stakeholders, including senior management at UNC Health, Athletics, Student Affairs, Carolina Dining Services, and the Carolina Inn, as well as external utility providers like Duke Energy, OWASA, and Dominion Energy.
Your day-to-day impact will be felt across the entire organization, from managing the Customer Service Center as the efficient "front door" for all inquiries to overseeing warehouse operations, fleet services, and the internal maintenance management system. You will guide a team of staff in developing predictive key performance indicators that focus on customer service, operational excellence, and financial metrics, ensuring leadership has the data needed to improve performance and efficiency.
