By joining the American Red Cross, you will touch millions of lives every year and experience the greatness of the human spirit at its best. You become a vital part of the world's largest humanitarian network, joining a team of welcoming, exceptional, and diverse individuals who are uncompromising in their unity. Here, success is measured in people helped, communities made whole, and individuals equipped to never stop changing lives for the better.
Where your career is a force for good, you will align your life's work with an ongoing mission that is bigger than all of us. You will have mentors who empower your growth along a purposeful career path, and you will join a community that respects who you are away from work as much as what you do while at work.
We are seeking a dynamic, community-centered Executive Director to serve as the face, voice, and catalyst of our mission across the Greater Miami and the Keys Chapter. This chapter proudly serves over 2.5 million residents in Miami-Dade and Monroe counties.
This is a unique opportunity for a visionary leader who thrives on building relationships, mobilizing resources, and inspiring collective action. As the chapter's principal external leader, you will elevate the Red Cross presence across one of the nation's most diverse and vibrant communities. You will engage donors, volunteers, and community partners to advance humanitarian impact and long-term resilience.
In this external-facing role, you will serve as the primary community-facing leader and facilitator. You will convene, align, and empower cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver core services, deploy secondary services where needed most, and strengthen community resilience. You will represent the organization publicly, lead collaborative chapter planning alongside the community, and steward strategic relationships to achieve regional goals.
This position will be posted for a minimum of five business days and may be extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded. Please note that this position is not eligible for relocation.
