The Executive Assistant I serves as a vital operational partner to the Director, ensuring the smooth functioning of the Educational Office Professionals team. In this non-exempt position, you will exercise independent judgment to make administrative decisions and handle minor administrative details on the executive's behalf. Your work directly supports key district areas including Curriculum and Instruction, Equity, Culture, and Community Engagement, Fiscal Services, and Legal Services.
You will act as a primary point of contact for the department, managing complex calendars, coordinating high-level meetings, and preparing confidential correspondence. This role requires a high degree of adaptability, as you will frequently interact with personnel and the community to guide inquiries and resolve incidents. The position offers the opportunity to lead other clerical employees in maintaining proper procedures and standards while contributing to the district's mission of continuous improvement and cultural competence.
