As an Exceptional Student Services Instructional Assistant at Vistancia Elementary, you will be the backbone of a supportive classroom, helping to pave the way for quality education. You will work alongside teachers and special education teams to deliver engaging lessons and provide the individualized attention necessary for student success.
Your day will be dynamic, ensuring no two days are the same. You will assist students across multiple classroom settings, helping them access the general education curriculum while implementing specific accommodations and behavior support plans. Beyond academics, you will model positive behaviors, teach essential workplace skills, and support students with activities of daily living. Whether you are reinforcing learning objectives in small groups, utilizing assistive technology, or monitoring student safety, your contribution is critical to creating a conducive learning environment.

Candidates selected for this position must successfully pass a background clearance check and possess (or obtain) an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. Additionally, applicants must be able to provide a Social Security number for AHCCS provider purposes and obtain an Arizona driver's license. Successful candidates will also be required to complete and maintain certifications in CPR, First Aid, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI), and specialized training for students with disabilities.
