About the Role
This exempt position serves as a key support function within the Food & Beverage operations, focusing on consolidated purchasing and vendor management. The role is designed to ensure seamless procurement processes that sustain hotel operations, with a specific emphasis on food and beverage purchasing. Success in this position requires a blend of analytical rigor, negotiation skills, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes.
The day-to-day involves preparing and analyzing data using accounting programs, Microsoft Word, and Excel to support budgetary analysis. You will be responsible for negotiating and drafting contracts, agreements, and performance requirements while maintaining effective verbal and written communication with guests, supervisors, and subordinates. The role demands the ability to support other Food & Beverage outlets as necessary and to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis.
Physical Requirements
This position requires a hybrid of desk-based analysis and physical activity. You will sit at a desk for up to 6 hours per day, with occasional walking and standing required. The role involves regular lifting of up to 50 lbs and the occasional ability to push and pull carts or equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. Manual dexterity is essential for operating necessary equipment, typing, and performing repetitive motions of the wrists and hands.
