We are seeking dedicated One-on-One or Special Education Aides to join our team during the upcoming ESY (Extended School Year) sessions. These positions are vital for supporting students with diverse needs, ensuring they have the assistance required to assimilate into the school environment and achieve their instructional objectives.
As a collaborative member of the educational team, you will work closely with teachers and program staff to implement classroom accommodations, manage learning environments, and reinforce instructional goals. Your role involves providing comprehensive support ranging from daily living activities and behavior management to assisting with personal care and mobility. You will help students navigate the school day, from arrival and departure to lunch, recess, and field trips, ensuring their safety and active participation.
These positions are available for the following ESY dates:
Time: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Candidates must meet all mandated state and federal criteria, including holding a valid state department of education license or permit, possessing an approved degree or requisite credit hours, or achieving an acceptable score on an authorized professional standards test. Additional requirements may include Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) training, as well as training in blood-borne pathogens, child abuse/neglect, CPR, and first aid.
Please note that some positions may require specialized skills such as the use of communication boards, sign language, or finger spelling. The district evaluates employee performance according to board policy and administrative procedures.
