About the Role
Glen Ellyn School District 41 is seeking a dedicated Full-Time ESL Teacher for Churchill Elementary School. This position is vital to our mission of maintaining and improving the service we render to children by ensuring all students, regardless of their native language, have equitable access to education.
As an ESL Teacher, you will serve as a bridge for newly arriving non-English speaking students and those with limited English proficiency. Your day will involve assessing student needs, delivering targeted instruction based on formal assessments, and collaborating closely with classroom teachers to implement strategies that support student growth. You will also play a key role in monitoring progress through formative and summative assessments, maintaining accurate records, and fostering strong communication with parents.
