The Hardware Engineering department leads in the mechanical and electrical hardware design, development, and production of weapons systems. We utilize state-of-the-art tools, processes, and technology across a broad range of technical disciplines, including product engineering, manufacturing, materials engineering, analysis, and test. Within this department, the Engineering Rapid Build Services (ERBS) is chartered to deliver agile services. We bridge Operations and Engineering, providing solutions through the execution of quick-turn procurement and manufacturing. ERBS specializes in special test equipment, program trainers, and high-mix/low-rate fabrication, with a focus on in-house electro-mechanical packaging and liquid cooling systems integration.
This position serves as the Section Leader for the Test Equipment and Prototyping Test and Inspection Section within ERBS, located on-site in Tucson, AZ. The purpose of this section is to support technicians who fabricate, test, and inspect electrical and mechanical assemblies, including cables, chassis, and test racks, in support of Test Equipment development and integration. As a leader, you will foster a culture of teamwork and interdependent execution while providing technical guidance for troubleshooting fabrication and inspection issues. You will manage manpower needs, oversee shop operations, and drive process improvements to minimize cycle times and provide the best value through dynamic, agile processes.
