Position Overview
Reporting to the Mine Operations Supervisor, the Open Pit Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of haulage, support, or loading equipment, including drills, within an open pit mining operation in Imlay, NV.
About the Role
This role is critical to maintaining the daily flow of mining operations. You will be the primary operator for heavy machinery, ensuring that all tasks are executed with precision and adherence to strict safety protocols. The position requires a hands-on approach to equipment management, from conducting thorough pre- and post-operation inspections to maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Success in this role depends on your ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team, communicate clearly via two-way radio, and perform essential functions with minimal supervision.
