About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Crane Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating stationary or traveling cranes to lift, move, position, and reposition loads at construction sites and industrial facilities. You will work under general supervision, manipulating controls to regulate the speed and direction of crane and hoist movements according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.
Your day will involve ensuring loads are safely attached before operation, placing blocks and outriggers to prevent capsacing, and working within precise limits of accuracy. You will also collaborate closely with helpers, following their signals to rotate the crane on its chassis and raise or lower the boom and load line. Beyond operation, you will perform daily safety inspections, identify malfunctioning parts, and complete necessary job tickets and service quality summaries.
Hiring Process
Candidates must possess a valid CDL A license with an airbrake endorsement and Mobile Hydraulic and/or Fixed Cab NCCCO Crane Certification. A clean driving record for the past five years and the ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen are required. While NCCCO Rigger/Signalperson Certification is preferred, it is not mandatory.
