About the Team
The MSPCA is the largest animal welfare organization in New England, caring for and placing over 12,000 animals annually across four adoption centers and providing low-cost veterinary care to over 14,000 animals in our community clinics. At our Methuen Adoption Center, we care for over 3,500 animals each year, including 538 farm animals in 2025, maintaining a 92% live release rate. Our mission is to uphold an open adoption philosophy, move pets through the shelter effectively, and provide access to affordable veterinary care that helps keep families together with their pets.
About the Role
As the Assistant Manager for Equine and Farm Animals, you will join the Leadership team at our 55-acre animal care complex, Nevins Farm in Methuen. This role is designed to lead our Barn team by supporting staff, inspiring volunteers, connecting with the community, and ensuring every animal receives the compassion and care they deserve. You will work closely with the Shelter Manager and Director of Operations to oversee daily animal care, intake, and adoptions. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Equine and Farm Outreach and Rescue Manager and the Law Enforcement team on the collection, transport, and intake of farm animal cases.
