This position serves as an enthusiastic and ethical partner to the engineering division, driving environmental support across multiple projects. The role is designed for an entrepreneurial professional who will assist project managers and technical leads in successfully delivering project objectives through a wide range of environmental tasks.
From conducting field wetland and stream delineations to preparing complex permit applications and regulatory reports, this role bridges the gap between field operations and compliance. You will work directly with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) to ensure projects meet strict environmental standards, including Chapter 105 policies and Section 404 permit requirements.
The day-to-day involves a dynamic mix of outdoor fieldwork and office-based analysis. You will navigate variable weather conditions and challenging terrain to gather critical data, then translate that information into accurate technical documents. A strong commitment to safety and continuous learning is essential, as you will stay current with evolving regulations such as the Endangered Species Act and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
