About the Role

This position serves as an enthusiastic and ethical partner to the engineering division, driving environmental support across multiple projects. The role is designed for an entrepreneurial professional who will assist project managers and technical leads in successfully delivering project objectives through a wide range of environmental tasks.

You will act as a bridge between field operations and regulatory compliance, performing wetland and stream delineations, preparing critical reports, and managing permit applications. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and the ability to navigate variable weather conditions and challenging terrain while maintaining high standards of accuracy in technical work products.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circlePrepare USACE wetland data forms and aquatic resource delineation reports
  • check_circlePrepare PADEP Chapter 105 and USACE Section 404 permit applications and related documents
  • check_circleConduct evaluations to document PennDOT compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act
  • check_circleConduct field wetland and stream delineations following USACE and PADEP guidelines
  • check_circleTravel to project sites to support field activities and project needs
  • check_circleMonitor and maintain up-to-date knowledge of environmental regulations and policies

Requirements

  • verified5+ years environmental experience
  • verifiedB.S. in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, or related field
  • verifiedIndependent field wetland/stream delineation experience
  • verifiedExperience preparing PADEP Chapter 105 and USACE Section 404 permit applications
  • verifiedWorking knowledge of federal/state aquatic resource and endangered species regulations
  • verifiedPrior experience with sub-meter GPS equipment and post-field data processing
  • verifiedProficient in Microsoft Office products
  • verifiedValid Driver's License and clean driving record

Nice to Have

Experience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or ArcGIS. Experience with Microstation. Prior experience with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 compliance. Prior experience with PennDOT's CE Expert and KEES systems.
