As a Dosimetry Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate radiation health records for all personnel on the NPTU-Charleston site. This position is vital for supporting radiological environmental monitoring programs and ensuring the safety of our workforce.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve properly handling and processing dosimetry, issuing dosimeters to site personnel and visitors, and providing internal monitoring for personnel. You will support the collection and processing of area and environmental monitoring dosimetry while maintaining precise records to manage and track personnel exposure. A key part of your role involves performing quality control checks throughout all processes to ensure absolute accuracy.
You will be trained to operate dosimetry and internal monitoring equipment, strictly following dosimetry office procedures. The selected candidate will receive on-site training to qualify as a radiation worker and will be required to support emergency response teams needing radiation health support.
