This entry-level opportunity offers a career in law enforcement characterized by excitement, reward, and stability. As a Border Patrol Agent (BPA), you will work alongside a team where your contributions directly impact national security. The role involves a dynamic day-to-day environment, ranging from covert surveillance and tracking physical evidence to patrolling international boundaries and coastal waterways using diverse assets like vehicles, horses, and vessels. Upon selection, you will undergo approximately six months of intensive instruction at the U.S. Border Patrol Academy in Artesia, New Mexico. This formal training covers immigration and nationality laws, law enforcement operations, driver training, physical techniques, and firearms proficiency. The Academy also provides training to ensure agents become proficient in Spanish, a key requirement for the role.
