As an Entry-Level Border Patrol Agent (BPA), you will join a career Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) team in a full-time, rewarding position. You will be part of a dynamic unit that patrols international boundaries and coastal waterways using a variety of assets, including vehicles, horses, vessels, and off-road vehicles. Your day-to-day work involves detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, interpreting physical evidence of illegal entry, and performing diverse checks such as farm, building, and traffic patrols.
This role offers exceptional job stability and the opportunity to work with a team that values your contribution to national security. You will undergo approximately six months of intensive instruction at the U.S. Border Patrol Academy in Artesia, New Mexico, covering immigration laws, firearms, physical techniques, and Spanish language proficiency.
Note on Assignments: Duty assignments are determined at the time of offer based on operational needs. Assignments may include the Southwest Border, including prioritized locations. Relocation may be required, and assignments may not align with first-choice preferences.
