We are seeking an Engineering Project Manager I or II to manage the overall scope, schedule, and budget of complex engineering projects. This role is pivotal in building a market portfolio that supports a Mortenson Operating Group, with a specific focus on renewable energy and infrastructure sectors including Wind, Solar, Battery Storage, Substations, Transmission Lines, and Collection Systems. The position offers the potential to grow into new operating groups as the business evolves.
In this capacity, you will serve as the primary liaison between design team engineers, engineering leadership, and customers. Your day-to-day involves coordinating with engineering teams to build and maintain schedules, facilitating design meetings, and utilizing construction management software to oversee vendor drawing reviews and design deliverable submissions. You will drive workstreams independently, prioritizing engineering activities to ensure timely project completion while managing open issues to meet strict deadlines. Beyond execution, you will partner with the Engineering Project Management Team to provide business development support, create project estimates, and assist in cost control and fiscal management. This role is designed for individuals who can bring clarity and structure to complexity, fostering an exceptional end-customer experience through collaboration and process improvement.
This position is based in Minneapolis, MN (highly preferred) or Denver, CO.
