As the Grid Solutions Integration (GSI) business in the North American (NAM) region grows, so does the complexity and scope of our customer projects. GSI encompasses the ACS, FACTS, Service, and HVDC segments, operating under GE Vernova's electrification businesses within Grid Solutions. This team is dedicated to driving innovation and efficiency in high-voltage power systems, managing multi-discipline engineering portfolios that span design, execution, and technical strategy.
The Engineering Portfolio Manager serves as a pivotal people leader and technical referent for a team of engineers, direct reports, and contractors. This is a hands-on role that balances strategic leadership with detailed high-voltage substation design project work. You will be accountable to the Sr. Engineering Manager for meeting department KPIs and ensuring the performance of your team.
In this position, you will guide sub-disciplines from the project launching phase through execution, ensuring proper management of interfaces with partners and suppliers. Your day-to-day involves optimizing resource planning, driving continuous quality improvement, and fostering a culture of safety and integrity. You will lead initiatives to develop quality procedures, organize knowledge capitalization, and deploy engineering tools to enhance efficiency. Whether leading specific projects or supporting department-wide transformation, you will be the technical anchor for your team while navigating a high-growth environment.

Professional Engineering License in the United States (or P.Eng in Canada), fluent French speaking and writing, 5+ years of experience managing people, project management experience on power systems EPC projects, 15+ years of engineering project execution experience in service and/or EPC type environments for high voltage AC Substations, and/or FACTS (STATCOM/Synchronous Condenser) and HVDC, demonstrated successful experience in project technical management of the discipline in a multi-disciplinary team's context including multiple interfaces and with products coming from several countries, experience in technical problem solving, knowledge of GRID product development groups, products, and personnel through FAT, site visits, and demonstrated presentation skills and ability to succinctly communicate complex messages.
