We are the people who keep the cloud running, supporting all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain, and we are looking for talented people who want to help.
You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You will collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you will experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
As a Data Center Engineering Technician, you will play a pivotal role as Amazon's front line for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting. You will maintain, operate, and troubleshoot mission-critical facilities, ensuring seamless operations that power global digital experiences. Your expertise will directly contribute to maintaining an extraordinary 99.999% uptime, keeping the digital world running smoothly and efficiently.
This role acts as the first line of defense for facility equipment, reporting to a site's Data Center Facility Manager. Additional support includes fire/life safety equipment, building automation systems, and general facilities equipment.
The position supports data centers in various operational stages. You may be assigned to a facility still under development, which could require travel to established locations for training until your designated site becomes fully operational. The role may also support more than one location or site depending on business needs.
