This position serves as a vital technical bridge between engineering, production, and manufacturing functions. The primary mission is to research, develop, and refine manufacturing processes, methods, and systems to ensure products, facilities, and equipment meet rigorous quality and performance standards. You will act as a liaison, translating technical requirements into clear, actionable instructions for the assembly team while ensuring all outcomes align with established engineering principles.
Your work will be a dynamic mix of planning, execution, and hands-on problem-solving. You will review and edit manufacturing instructions to enhance clarity and usability, while actively participating in the evaluation of assembly upgrades. When issues arise on the assembly line regarding quality or efficiency, you will troubleshoot the root cause and facilitate corrections for out-of-specification conditions.
Beyond immediate troubleshooting, you will contribute to strategic improvements by analyzing operation layouts, suggesting process changes, and assisting in the selection and implementation of tooling and fixtures. You will also participate in capital equipment justification and help plan preventive actions to reduce scrap, rework, and downtime. This role is ideal for someone with a hands-on mentality who thrives in a collaborative environment where priorities may shift, requiring adaptability and strong communication skills.
