This role involves designing track components with a focus on maximizing useful life to limit disruption to passengers. The position requires staying abreast of changes in scientific knowledge and engineering technology to solve theoretical or practical civil engineering problems.

Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- verified2 years of related experience
- verifiedValid State of Illinois Driver's License
- verifiedWorking knowledge of construction design
- verifiedWorking knowledge of civil engineering principles
- verifiedGood math skills including Algebra, Calculus, and geometry
- verifiedGood surveying skills
- verifiedIntermediate skill using Autocad or MicroStation
- verifiedIntermediate skill using personal computer, engineering applications, and data management software
