About the Role

The Engineering Design Checker serves as a critical liaison within the Northrop Grumman Design/Drafting group, ensuring that design packages meet rigorous industry and military standards. This role is designed to bridge the gap between engineering intent and manufacturing reality, focusing on the fit, function, manufacturability, and economic efficiency of fabrication.

As a recognized expert in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), you will be the go-to resource for resolving complex interpretation issues on drawings. Your day-to-day involves verifying 3D models submitted to manufacturing using Siemens NX managed with Teamcenter, reviewing tolerance analyses, and validating hardware selection and fitment on assembly prints. You will collaborate closely with various engineering disciplines, Manufacturing, Quality, and select vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
