About the Role
Chromalloy is seeking a skilled Gas Turbine Engine Mechanic to join its San Diego operation. This position is vital to supporting our aerospace, defense, and energy customers by ensuring the highest standards of engine performance and reliability.
In this role, you will perform detailed teardown, repair, reassembly, troubleshooting, and quality verification of gas turbine engines and modules. You will work within a team-centric environment to disassemble, inspect, and repair engines to OEM specifications, ensuring correct tolerances and peak performance upon reassembly. Your work involves fabricating engine parts using precision techniques such as sanding, blasting, deburring, and brazing, while replacing worn or damaged components with calibrated tools. Additionally, you will troubleshoot engine discrepancies to identify root causes and verify the quality of all repaired parts throughout the process, maintaining strict adherence to Chromalloy MRO process standards and safety compliance.
